HIMALAYAN BANK NEPAL has recently introduced a new Premium Savings Account with additional features. Already established as a quality financial institution, the bank has been continuously working to provide more and better financial services to its customers. Himalayan Bank has made banking experience easier with the extensive use of new technologies, and this provision of Premium Savings Account is yet another initiative in that direction.

The new Premium Savings Account at Himalayan Bank can be established with a minimum balance of Rs. 50,000 only, with exclusive PSA Counter for deposit and withdrawal services. In addition to offering free cheque book, free SMS banking, free account statement and free ABBS (Any Branch Banking Service), the Premium Savings Account also provides a 25% discount on all bank service charges— including Loan Processing Fee, TC, Draft, Locker, and Fund Transfer among others, with unlimited deposit and withdrawal facilities.

With newer facilities, the Premium Savings Account allows 24/7 access to cash through ATM networks along with evening counter facilities in selected branches throughout the country—in Thamel, Patan, New Road, Maharajgunj, Bhaktapur, Bhairahawa and Biratnagar. The interest in the savings accounts is calculated on a daily balance basis, and is capitalized on a quarterly basis.

The new Premium Savings Account also gives access to accidental death insurance. The accidental death insurance has a provision whereby the insured amount will be four times the minimum balance in the account during the Nepali month of the accident, and subject to a maximum limit of Rs. 5,00,000. Additionally, the bank also provides a deposit guarantee of up to Rs. 300,000 in line with regulatory requirements of Nepal Rastra Bank.

With the introduction of the Premium Savings Account, Himalayan Bank Nepal seeks to improve and enhance financial operations and banking services in Nepal by providing quality banking services and bringing newer financial step-ups. In line with its ideals of bringing fresh innovations to help its customers and modernize the banking sector, the Premium Savings Account certainly takes it a step closer to those ideals.
