Aloft Kathmandu Thamel Stands to Support

During the present scenario evolving worldwide due to COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing lockdown in Nepal, Aloft Kathmandu Thamel managed by Shanti Hospitality Management Services engaged in providing essential goods for two different non-profit organizations- Prayas Nepal and Aama Ghar.

Aloft Kathmandu Thamel team visited Prayas Nepal, Baluwatar a non-profitable organization defending the rights of women and children and visited Aama ko Ghar, Gurjudhara, a home for elderly women. Both the organizations were provided with daily essentials, sanitization and hygiene materials for 30 children of Prayas Nepal and 65 elderly women of Aama Ghar. A medical health check-up was also arranged for the children, elderly women and staffs of both the organizations which were followed by a session on proper handwashing procedure. 
 
Speaking of the CSR activity, General Manager of Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, Mr.Vikram Singh shared “Our world has been upturned the last few months, and with each hour, we find new information being hurled at us. Updates continually cross all mediums and channels of communication. It is a unique time in history for us as we are united in a global, shared experience. 
 
During these difficult times, it is more important than ever that we support each other and our community. The event forms part of Marriott International’s global CSR programme ‘Serve 360: Doing Good In Every Direction’, which commits to creating a positive and sustainable impact and also SHMS Shanti Seva. The team at Aloft Kathmandu Thamel is doing CSR both within the Hotel and outside the hotel to encompass people within and outward to ensure that Serve 360 is truly achieved and we do our bit in ensuring a helping hand, the thought is to cover a bit of all Genre in Orphanage, Old Age Home, Animal Welfare among others.”
