Lunch Hosted By Yak & Yeti For Children From Helping Hands NGO

As a part of the sustainable business and giving back to the society of Hotel Yak and Yeti, General Manager, Ms Monika Scheiblauer and the team have taken an initiative and joined hands with Helping Hands for the Deaf, a shelter for children with hearing impairment and special needs. Helping Hands is an NGO established in 2014 for children with a hearing impairment from all over Nepal. HHD helps with the development, care, love and support of these children. They also provide interpreting services, job facilities, vocational training, counselling facilities for the parents of the children and other recreational activities for the children living in the shelter. HHD also teaches the English language to the children.


Last month, a team from the hotel went to the organization to visit the children and took the wishes of various gifts the kids would like to have for the New Year. Hotel Yak and Yeti team and hotel guests contributed towards buying gifts for these children as per the wishes shared by kids, to make them feel special and hosted a lunch event at the hotel premises for them to enjoy together with the hotel team and guests.
