Just as important as the food we eat and the water we drink is the air we breathe.

Air Purifier

In the last couple of years pollution in Nepal has increased considerably. Visible signs of air pollution can easily be seen in our homes, in the clothes we wear and in the air we breathe. But have we ever pondered upon how the air we breathe contains many pollutants causing a direct impact on our health? When we breathe it in, the harmful particles can interfere with our respiratory organs, increasing the risk of asthma attacks, lung cancer and even premature deaths. The smallest of particles can pass into the blood stream and can cause heart diseases, reproductive complications and stroke.

What is still unknown to us is that indoor air is about ten times more polluted than outdoor air and about 4.3 million people in a year die from exposure to household pollution globally. More threatening is the fact that approximately 15% of all deaths are due to heart diseases accounting for over a million premature deaths annually can be blamed upon the exposure to household air pollution.

As we all know very well that prevention is better than cure. In order to minimize or eliminate these pollutants in our home we can use an air purifier. It is a device that removes the contaminants form a room.  Air purifiers are capable of capturing a greater number of bacterial, virus, and DNA damaging particulates and removing pollutants in the air. It works through the following mechanism which basically has six stages of air purification:

Pre-filter

This is the foremost stage which blocks particulate matters like dust, pollen, soot, smoke, and liquid droplets, which can cause infections, allergic reactions, irritations in eyes nose and other respiratory problems with 99.9% efficiency.

True HPEA

After that the air passes through the true HPEA which effectively removes particles like fine dust allergens, bacteria and viruses present in the air.

Activated Carbon Filter

Next, the air goes through a layer of activated carbon which effectively degrades chemicals (xylene, ammonia etc.) and fumes emitting from furniture, paints, sprays, cooking or smoking.

Photo Catalyst

After that, the photo catalyst in combination with the UV releases free radicals that oxidize the air pollutants and thus, cleaning the air.

Ionizer

the next stage is the ionizing stage where the negatively charged ions produced by the ionizer binds with the suspended air pollutants and remove them. It is very difficult to remove them by using common methods.

UV Light Sterilization

UV light sterilizes the air for protection against a variety of bacteria, fungi and molds.

The air purifier has the following benefits:

• Remove 99.9% of the airborne particles such as fiber, dust, animal dander pollen, tobacco smoke, PM1.0 and PM2.5 air pollutants.

• Remove 99.7% formaldehyde, benzene, VOC, hydrogen sulphide, paint vapours, organic compounds and eliminate unpleasant smell

• Removes bacteria, viruses and germs.

  • Increase brain oxygen, enhance cardiovascular function while helping us to help breathe & induce better sleep.
