Soothing the Senses
Club Oasis, located at the Hyatt Regency in Bouddha, Kathmandu is arguably one of the most sought out spa in Nepal. It is top notch establishments for all kinds of rest and recreation activities. But if you are stickler for massages and facials, this is the place to go.
The nature facial at Oasis is an hour long process, and interestingly begins with a foot cleansing in rose water. This then leads to the actual treatment, beginning with a general face scrub and wash in order to get all the deep seated Kathmandu dust out of your pores. The facial therapist also performs the multi layer coating where two different organic scrubs made from flowers are layered on and removed respectively, leaving you soaking in a trance of wonderful scents. Afterwards, a thick coat of paste consisting of nourishing and revitalizing herbs is applied along with the classic “cucumbers on the eyes,” patch. You are left like this to relax and soak in all the nutrients for about 30 minutes. During this time span, the therapist begins the shoulder, arm and toe massage. The massage, which I call, “the point of nirvana,” is the highlight of the treatment. By the end of the hour long treatment -- the combination of the face pack and the muscle kneading -- you are left feeling renewed and glowing.
The ambiance of the spa is both relaxing and soothing to the senses, and the treatment, along with the customer service, is impeccable. What else can we ask foe when you can customize every minor detail of the treatment according to your preference. It is definitely THE place to unwind!
