If Relaxation is of Paramount Importance

I am sure we all have had one of those super hectic weeks which left us drained by the end of it. As a simple cure to such heavy weeks, Harmony Spa offers you its signature Traditional Himalayan Massage. Unlike other massages, it seeks to provide maximum relaxation with a minimal amount of pressure.

Upon entering Harmony Spa, I was handed their brochure. As I went through it I found listed on it various forms of therapies, including Ayurvedic Mama Massage, Golfers’ Recovery Massage, Sirodhara, Traditional Himalayan Massage and many more. As I lay there puzzled as always, and a bit nervous, Ms. Tsering Deyki Lama suggested me to go with their signature Traditional Himalayan Massage, commonly known as Swedish Massage, and so I did.

How is it different from other massage types?

All the massages I have tried till date have been different but wonderful which keeps me coming back for more. What I found unique about the Traditional Himalayan Massage is that the technique was light and contained simple upward gliding back strokes. That was followed by a relaxing thigh and calves massage which can be painful but you can always ask your masseuse to adjust the pressure as per your liking. If you are like me, and carry all your tiredness your shoulder and neck areas, the Traditional Himalayan Massage is the perfect remedy for you to loosen up and relax. This massage is very similar to Aroma therapy but it differs in the amount of essential oils used during the massage and of course the aromatic herbs are not used.

Why Traditional Himalayan Massage at Harmony Spa?

This massage is considered exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. The massage, however, is not the only relaxing thing about Harmony Spa. If you look outside your massage room you will see greenery surrounding you and one can also hear birds chirping their pretty songs while you experience the blissful massage. If you are a first timer, this massage is what you should start off with. Your first massage has a lot of impact on the way you view massages and your likelihood of trying it again. So, if you want to keep your first massage experience light but pleasant, I would suggest you to go with either Traditional Himalayan Massage or a simple Aroma Therapy. Massages like Ayurvedic Mama Massage and Deep-Tissue Massages are for people who like heavy pressured massages.
