New year’s resolution carries a concept of promising yourself positive things in life that takes you to the world of success and changes. It is the idea to resolve all the unresolved threads of life to keep your sanity and head up.

What are the chances for one to be consistent with his/her new year resolution? “I will do this, I will do that, what will you do if the circumstances are different from what you have expected? This time let’s make a different resolution than ever. This year, with all the changes that have changed you, and all the battles that you have fought through, let’s accept it and welcome the beautiful future ahead. Instead of predicting the unpredictable future and already planning a schedule for it, let’s just be open to every twist and turn, every spontaneous decision, and every upheaval that life has got for us. If you are thinking about going with the flow, then let me tell you, only dead fish go with the flow.

It’s been a year since you made your last year’s resolution. If you have achieved even 25 percent of it, good for you and if not then you are still living your life. All the heaviness of piled-up thoughts, all the opportunities that you missed just because you were shy, just because you were not in a mood, just because of something that does not matter, let yourself resolve to never let that happen again and free yourself from everything and everyone that’s holding you back from being you. Following your heart and prioritizing the emotions and not letting that trap you in the web of negativity, is not being self-centered.

Here is the new year resolution that’s different and what is needed for you to bring to the positivity in your beautiful life:

  1. To Make yourself an utmost priority:

We often tend to focus on giving and making someone else a priority. Somewhere between work and loved ones, we lose ourselves. Take yourself to date, shop, eat good foods, your favorite places, and do the things that you love. And that is not in any way selfish or self-centered. Permit yourself to be happy with your company and be happy on your own.

  1. To Earn, save and invest:

You can earn a lot of money, but it means nothing if you cannot manage your income. Focus on budget management, have an idea about your expenses, and be careful about it. Small changes in expenditures and investments can bring huge changes in your lifestyle.

  1. To set goals:

There is the phase of life where everything seems hopeless and future paths seem blurry. If you can relate to that, then it is okay. However, the drive to do something and achieve milestones has to be your main vision of life. Setting goals even if it is small ones will work for you to be ambitious and have a reason to fight your everyday battles.

  1. To spend more time with loved ones:

Life is chaotic and people are chasing success and money. We are striving for more and more, not knowing our main purpose in life. We are so desperately trying to grab newness that sometimes, we tend to leave our loved ones’ hands. We one way or the other take our loved ones for granted. So this year, let’s make more time for the ones who we know are forever and make memories with them.

  1.  To find happiness in little things:

If you were to remember the last time you genuinely felt overwhelmed with happiness, it was probably little things in life. When someone offered you food, when you hit the gym, when you got ready to head off somewhere you love, when your mom got home, when you caught up with old friends, when you fought with your siblings, and many more. To be happy is easy, if only you acknowledge that.

  1. To stop procrastinating:

How many of us are big procrastinators? I hope you are not on to them and if you are, then this has to be in your new year resolution list.  "Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today." – Mark Twain. It is easy to put things off, however, it gets you hectic at the last moment. Start with getting at least one task done that you are thinking of doing tomorrow. You will notice big changes immediately when procrastination is no longer part of a routine.

New year resolutions should be of a kind that brings positivity to your mind and something that you want to continue forever. Making resolutions is to feel happier, healthier, peaceful, and be grateful to whatever life has to offer. Being a kind individual and giving your best in everything that you do can resolve anything in life. Trying to make a new year resolution list is already a positive entrance to a new beginning, you are on the way. I hope and pray that you let this new year bring the best out of you.
