Illuminating Hope: A Journey of Empowerment with Miss World 2024

As she gracefully navigates the realms of fame and responsibility, Miss World 2024, embodies the epitome of ‘living in the moment.’ Her journey, from the triumph of the national stage to the global platform, has been a testament to the power of embracing the present with ardor and diligence. Reflecting on her remarkable achievement, she muses, “My biggest lesson on the global platform taught me the power of ‘now’. Loving, laughing, learning in the moment is a typical formula for life and anything that has these backed with preparation and hard-work will never fail you.”

 

 

1. With your recent tour of Miss World 2024 being a milestone for Nepal, what do you consider your biggest take away as your placement of your rank while exceeding everyone's expectations and how did it change your perspective in any way? 

 

Miss World’s journey has been the one for the books. My biggest lesson on the global platform taught me the power of ‘now’. Loving, laughing, learning in the moment is a typical formula for life and anything that has these backed with preparation and hard-work will never fail you. My most valued take away though, starting from my win in the national pageant, has to be how this journey teaches and encourages actions that makes one more thoughtful and empathetic. To think of yourself in others, to be a better citizen of your nation yet think with the world is how the past two years have influenced my perspective for a lifetime.

 

 

2. What are your future plans in Nepal and being such an influential figure, how do you want to motivate the future generations of Nepal while also empowering them at the same time in the field of Media in Nepal or any other field? 

 

I plan to educate, empower and evolve. I have differed for almost two years now after my Bachelors. I will be getting into a college to take on my new role as a student for my degree! Being in touch with the media, I also would like to positively influence girls and boys by sharing stories of my success and failures, speaking of matters that need to be addressed and backing forces who have ideas and skills. I dream of a beautiful tomorrow for our country and anyone with the shared dream and love, I shall collaborate with them.

 

 

3. Speaking of “Beauty with a Purpose” what positive changes are you striving for and what changes would you like to see in the upcoming future and could you also mention a few upcoming projects of yours to the audience and what outcomes would they be having on our society?

 

 I believe life is all about making abundant from what you have. I was raised by a reach of a platform to open doors, I knocked on socio-economic development. At a hilltop of Chitwan- Upardangadi, we were able to electrify a village that rose to the sunrise and set with its setting. Potentials were being attacked by its output being dictated by the sun. Hence, in collaboration with the NEA we have successfully brought about lights. For the second half, we have invested in skill building and job opportunities with home-stay businesses and honey bee farming. Now, the goal is to sustain the impact we have been able to create and moreover, reflect its shine to other pocket villages too.

 

As she continues to illuminate the path towards a brighter future, Miss World 2024 embodies the spirit of empowerment, resilience, and compassion. Her journey serves as a beacon of hope, inspiring others to dare, dream, and make a difference in the world. In her words, and in her actions, she embodies the essence of true beauty – beauty that emanates from within, transcending boundaries, and illuminating hearts with its timeless radiance.

 

How do you plan to spend your time together during the new years and what are your most anticipated activities together?

Every year, our family embraces the Nepali New Year with unwavering tradition and boundless joy. Since childhood, it's been our custom to unite and revel in the unique essence of this occasion. The Nepali New Year holds a special place, beckoning us to cherish family bonds amidst vibrant celebrations. Returning from a triumphant fashion tour, we seek to elevate our festivities, crafting unforgettable moments. Amidst the excitement, we eagerly scout diverse eateries, seeking the perfect setting to forge new memories. This New Year promises to be extraordinary, brimming with love, laughter, and the timeless allure of familial togetherness.

One thing that's special about our bond is that even though we are related by blood we have that same level of chemistry professionally too. We share the same workspace in our family business, when growing up we were really involved in the dynamics of the business, seeing it grow together. Even though we spend time together playing games together or having small talks we really shine in our bond when we are working together in the business. While working together we always tend to show our raw emotions transparently to each other is a very special moment of bonding within the family. 

One small detail of our family dynamics is that after a long tiring day of work we always want to sit together and eat the food that was made by my mothers hands. For my mother, one of the most special moments always starts from food and the kitchen. At the end of the day we always reach home on an empty stomach and we sit down to share the events of the day. 

Regardless of where we are or what we do we always make it a point to eat from her hands any time of the day, to feed us and keep us going. 

We as parents love to see the family spend time together after a long day's work where the kids after completing their studies and getting their day to day activities done couldn't be more proud. We always make it a point to share our feelings on the dining table after a long day, and that moment is when we really enjoy it as we all get a bit closer.
