Replace some of your regular indoor flowers with cactuses for hassle-free decor.

Aren’t you tired of decorating your house with the same old boring flowers and plastic ornamental plants? If you are, or even if you aren’t, you can consider cactus as your next indoor decor item. Cactus brings freshness and greenery inside your house like the regular ornamental plants, but without the hassle that come with handling regular flowers which need to be watered and replaced regularly. Looking after cactus is easy: you just have to water it once a week; it only requires sand, soil and chips; and it can even survive in place with minimum direct sunlight (the light from your tube light is sufficient).

There are various types of cactuses you can grow inside your house, and the following are some of them:

  1. Moon Cactus (Gymnocalycium Mihanovichii)
These cactuses are great indoor décor plants. Like all cactuses they need little attention and the most wonderful thing is that they are available in different colors. So, you can use moon cactus to add color to your room. Whether you keep it near the window still or on top of a coffee table, these will look fantastic and will definitely bring color and freshness into your room.

  1. Golden Barrel Cactus (Echinocactus Guisonii)
The golden barrel cactus is one of the most attractive cactuses for indoor décor and it is ideal if you are aiming for a minimalistic look. They are almost completely round, so they make excellent display plants. They look exceptionally well in collections, so we recommend that you display them in evenly spaced in rows or spines.

  1. Old Lady Cactus (Mammillaria Hahniana Werderm)

These cactuses too are spherical in nature, but unlike golden barrel cactus, old lady cactus sprout flowers and are covered in white down and white spine. The flowers               bloom in spring and summer and are reddish purple in color. These too can be used to add color to your rooms, and can be used as either the centre piece or even                     somewhere in the background such as on top of a side table or in the corner of the room.
