Children are the human being below the age of majority

Generally, Children are the human being below the age of majority. They are unpredictable and are born mischievous. They have energy to run around making a mess and hurting themselves, Parents must be aware they do not get injured while playing whether at home , playground or while travelling in a car. However numbers of parents allow their children to travel in car without taking proper restrained, placing their life and safety in risk.

Are the children really safe in the car? While travelling adults get excited too, as for the kids they naturally more excited. So there parents need to be more careful about their kids’ activities in the car. Parents should monitor their children activities, whether they are poking their head/hand out of the window or if they are messing with the controls of the car. Here are some quick means to assure your little one’s safety.

  • Children always tend to copy their parents so you can set a good example for your children by always wearing the seatbelt. Young children learn most by watching the grownups around them
  • Ensure  your child always keeps arms, legs and head inside the car when it is moving or parked on the side of the road
  • Activate childproof doors locks so your child can’t get out when the car is moving or standing still. These locks are usually inside most cars doors.
  • While travelling for long distance keep on talking with your children and take break in every 2 hours so they don’t get bored.
  • Never share a seat belt. Two kids should never buckle up as a pair. It is dangerous to hold children in your lap.

Here are some different types of seat which ensure the safety of children while travelling in cars.

  • Rear-Facing And Rear-facing convertible
    All infants and toddlers should ride in a rear facing seat until they are at least 2 years old or they cross the height or weight limit as allowed by car seat manufacturer.
  • Forward Facing with Harness
    Children who have exceeded real facing seat limit should travel in forward facing seat with harness as long as possible or up to the height or weight limit as allowed by car seat manufacturer.
  • Booster Seats
    All the children whose height or weight exceed forward facing limit should use a belt positioning booster seat for their safety until the vehicle seat belt fits properly on them, typically if they have reached 4 feet 9 inches in height and/or 8 to 12 years of age. Children younger than 13 should always ride in the backseat.
  • Seat belt 
    When children are old enough to fit properly in a seat belt, they should always use lap and shoulder seat belt

You should teach your children to follow the rules that should be followed in the car. Kids have tendency to think that rules only apply when they are with their parents. Instruct your children to always follow the rules for safety, even if they are in someone else’s cars.
