I decided to take a stroll around Patan in search of some fresh delights to beat the summer heat; I encountered some delish and thirst quenching drinks and ice creams along the way that are perfect for summer! Here are some of the chilled summer refreshments around Patan that you must not miss out on:

 

Bubble Gum thick shake

We found this really unique shake named ‘Bubble gum’. Who could have ever imagined a bubble gum flavored drink? As I saw ‘Bubble gum’ in the menu, I couldn’t stop myself from ordering it as its name itself is so intriguing. And I must say, this shake is an absolutely lip- smacking drink that is filled with ice cream! It had just the right amount of sweetness and its sweetness didn’t overpower the taste at all! Moreover, the drink had some small green bubbles that would burst into your mouth, enhanced the taste and made it a refreshing one!

Rocky Road

The Rocky Road Waffle was freshly baked, hot, crispy yet soft with a whole lot of fillings including chocolate fudge, ice cream, nuts and some chunks of oreos! As soon as I got the waffles, its tantalizing aroma of rich chocolate filled the air and I couldn’t wait to have it. As I had a first bite of the waffle, I could get the taste of all the toppings; the nutty and chocolaty taste worked really well with the crunch of the waffle’s outer layer and ice cream on the inside which made it a perfect combination! A must try delicious treat at anytime!

Choco chip Milkshake

The Choco Chip Milkshake was really thick, sweet and scrumptious. As soon as I took the first sip, I was awestruck by its flavor and richness and I couldn’t stop myself from having more. Sweet summers treat with small chunks of chocolate chips and mouth watering taste. It is a chocolate lover’s dream shake!

Lassi

I was walking around Mangalbazar and had heard about Rikson Café’s lassi. So, I thought of giving it a try.  The lassi was very good indeed and I was really impressed with its taste; it had a great blend of thick chilled yogurt and khuwa ; a perfect consistency. Additionally, it had some dried fruits such as Cashew nuts, green raisins and a dash of syrup.The Lassi was not too sweet but the bites of small raisins and Khuwa added the necessary sweetness to the drink.

Cookies and Cream Ice cream



This ice cream is a treat for the taste buds! The outer layer of chocolate was sweet but the cookies and cream inside the hardened chocolate balanced the taste so well. The mix of cookies and cream inside was so creamy and had a really smooth texture making it a perfect ice cream for people who love sweet and as well as for those people who are not into sweet at the same time as the taste was so balanced!
