Black Water
If you are craving for some Italian, Mexican or continental food, then drop by Black Water restaurant and you will not be disappointed.
If you’re in the mood for some Italian, Mexican or continental then Black water is the place to go. It has opened has three branches in the city. They are located in Thamel, Baneshwor and New Road. We were invited to the recently opened New Road branch. The ambiance is lovely and I’d say that it’s a nice hang out spot with your friends and family.
A big plus point for the restaurant is its parking facilities. In a congested place like New road, parking is hard to come by but I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they had parking right next to the restaurant and customers would even get one hour of parking free. Beside the food, the other thing I liked about the restaurant is that the service charge and VAT are included in their menu so the customers. They also provide privilege cards for coffee and pizza where the 10th coffee and 10th pizza you eat are free and that’s something to look forward to. They even host seminars, parties and celebrations. If you’re looking for a spot to host corporate meetings, I would recommend using the Baneshwor branch and if you’re looking to party and celebrate then you could go to any of the three branches.
We started out with some coffee which was made from organic Nepali beans that was perfect for the chilly weather. It was served with a cookie which complimented the drink perfectly.
Black water is known for its pizzas so we decided to go with the chef’s recommended Supreme Pizza. It’s a thin crust pizza topped with salami, olives, tomato, mozzarella cheese and green peppers. The pizza is accompanied with some spices, oregano, jalapeno and tobasco sauce. The pizza had the perfect ratio of toppings which made it light and a treat to the taste buds. Itwas truly delightful when you take a bite and all the flavours of the sauce, cheese, toppings and seasoning go rushing towards the taste buds. The second thing I loved about the pizza was how perfectly it was cooked. You know the pizza is good when you hear that crunchy sound when you’re biting into that deliciously seasoned crust.
No Italian feast would be complete without some spaghetti. We decided to go with the classic and order spaghetti Bolognese. It was served with minced buff, homemade red sauce which is tomato based with salt, pepper and a hint of oregano and it came with complimentary garlic bread. The sweetness of the red sauce blended in perfectly with the minced buff. I’d highly recommend this dish if you can’t decide and want to keep it simple.
So if you’re in the mood for pizza, pasta, sandwiches, burgers or some American style fried chicken, I’d highly recommend you to drop by Black water restaurant. Even if you’re in the mood for it but too lazy to go out, don’t worry because they do home deliveries through Foodmandu as well.
