Taking care of the Air Conditioner Coils
A clean air filter helps the coils from clogging with dirt and dust. These coils would get dirty in a month, and reduces airflow and insulates the coil. So make sure to clean the air conditioner coils regularly.
Check Condenser Unit Fan
First turn the power off to your air conditioner unit, and check the fan mounted on the top of the outside condenser unit. Replace the fan blades if there are any cracks or rusting in any of them. Also make sure to oil the bearings of the fan.
Check Everything Else
From the power supply to the coil fins, you should check them regularly. Small errors could bring huge difference in the working of an air conditioner. Don’t be afraid to consult a professional as sometimes experts are the only solution.
Clean the Vents
Dusting the vents at least thrice a year is a must. The ducts should also be cleaned thoroughly as this is one of the most important parts of an air conditioner.
