Author Suresh Pranjali's second novel 'Panighatta' has been released. Immigration expert Ganesh Gurung, writer and actor Khagendra Lamichhane, senior folk singer Sharmila Gurung and writer Suresh Pranjali jointly unveiled the book at a special program organized at Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan in Kathmandu on Monday.

In the program, actor Lamichhane interacted with writer Pranjali based on the book and its dialect. On this occasion, Immigration Scholar Ganesh Gurung shared his views on the subject and effect of Pranjali's novel. He said that in a geography of a period of Nepal's history, a love story between two different castes has been portrayed in a very touching way. He also said that the novel is very useful in terms of linguistic beauty.

Starting from the harsh social reality of gender discrimination, the novel Panighatta is an interesting love story between Junmaya, a Brahmin girl and Rana Bahadur, a Brahmin girl who grew up with the anti-Gurung culture and Lahure tradition. In this sense, Panighatta itself is a witness to social value transformation and cultural integration.

In the rural society of the Gandaki region in the thirties and forties, the novels depicting the havoc faced by a woman before and after marriage in the pictorial depiction of 'Pani' and 'Ghatta' have become readable due to the sweet use of spoken language and fragrant movement of regional terminology.
