HOTEL YAK & YETI HOSTS GINGERBREAD HOUSE DECORATION & WISH TREE INAGURATION CEREMONY
Friday, 3rd December 2021, Christmas is a religious ritual celebrated all over the world by Christians and by people of other religions too. Culturally and historically, pastries have long been a way for Christians to celebrate and baking such treats prior to Christmas is said to be a harbinger of good tidings and happiness.
As a ritual, this year also we decorated Gingerbread House, cut cookies and inaugurated the ‘Wish Tree’. The wish tree was inaugurated to support the wishes of under-privileged children this festive season. The hotel team had asked for the wishes of the children from the “Future Hope Nepal Children’s Home”, which were printed in individual cards with their names and photos and hung in the wish tree. Any guests can take the honor to fulfill the wish of these children by looking at their wish on the wish tree. After Christmas, the children will be invited for lunch at Hotel Yak & Yeti and their gifts will be distributed to them.
This year, the event was attended by many dignitaries, corporate and media personalities. General Manger of Hotel Yak & Yeti – Monika Scheiblauer was also part of the event along with the hotel team to host a successful event.
The activity of decorating a freshly baked gingerbread house using frosting, candies and chocolate cookies allowed the guests to revive the kids in them. Delegates were given a set of exclusive apron and chef’s hat and the gingerbread house to decorate.
Hotel Yak & Yeti is also organizing a lavish Christmas Eve Dinner on 24th December and Christmas Day Brunch on 25th December at The Spice Room and The Chimney restaurant respectively.
