SUPPORTING WOMEN - “GENDER EQUALITY TODAY FOR SUSTAINABLE TOMORROW”

A women is one that takes care, gives love and creates the best within them. Nothing beats being around some of the most amazing and inspirational women and learn from their ups and downs along the way. With the expansion and globalization of the hospitality industry, opportunities for women to play an active and rewarding role in the hospitality workplace have grown significantly around the world. Hotel Yak & Yeti is the renowned hotel in the heart of Kathmandu, successfully providing a platform for professional career, growth and empowerment to many Nepalese women. The Saraf Family who are the owners of the hotel always wanted to have a lady as the General Manager to represent their hotel as beautifully as a woman is. So, in 2017, Ms. Monika Scheiblauer was represented as the first female General Manager of Hotel Yak & Yeti. On the same year 13.25% of the employees were women. Ms. Monika Scheiblauer, who is now representing the businesses of the Saraf Family in Nepal and the team of Yak & Yeti is very proud that over the year, 35% of the new hired employees are female. The owner’s company have always supported women empowerment along with their upliftment. Hotel Yak & Yeti is extremely happy to have all those hard working female employees working as Yak & Yeti family. 

On March 8th, 2022, Hotel Yak & Yeti is all set to celebrate this year’s Women’s Day by organizing various activities for its female employees as well as providing various exciting offers to women of all walk of life. The hotel is organizing a motivational session for its female associateson improving and enhancing their professional career as well as their self-confidence. Miss Universe Nepal 2021 Ms. Sujita Basnet along with other prominent ladies havekindly accepted to be a part of the hotel’s Women’s Day celebration. We hope you will also be a part of this celebration.
