THE FLAVORS AND TRADITIONS OF BENGAL AT THE SOALTEE KATHMANDU'S BENGALI FOOD FESTIVAL
The Soaltee Kathmandu launched its Bengali Food Festival from May 22nd to May 31st, 2024, at its all-day dining restaurant, Garden Terrace. The festival featured a variety of traditional Bengali delicacies, including starters like Begun Bhaja with Yogurt Chutney, main courses such as Aloo Begun Machher Jhol, Sukha Gosht, and Kosha Mangsho, vegetarian options like Dahi Baingan, Mochar Ghonto, and Dal Cholar, fragrant rice dishes like Ghee Bhat, Khichuri, or Bengali Biryani, and sides such as Aloo Posto and Shorshe Fish. The festival culminated with a sweet finale featuring Mishti Doi, Rasogolla, Sandesh, and Patishapta. Guests enjoyed the convenience and charm of the Live Food Counter, which showcased small-bite foods and beverages, adding an interactive element to the dining experience. For a refreshing break, guests visited the Green Tender Coconut Counter in the Sundeck area, where they tasted local freshness in true Bengali style.
