A year has gone by teaching us lessons and making us acknowledge a lot as well. A new year, 2023, is here for a new chapter, goals, and adventures in our life. Let’s hear the 2023 goals from Mr. Anil Kesari Shah, Ms. Ramila Nemkul, Mr. Chirag Bangdel, and

Anil Kesari Shah

Former Banker and Motivational Speaker

My first goal is to pursue my happiness. I think many times, we don’t give enough time and effort to be happy. We always try and do things that our society, family, and others want. I want to dedicate the year 2023 to my happiness. Secondly, to spend more time with my family and friends. A new chapter of my life has begun away from the banking life. Thirdly, to spend more time with youth sharing my knowledge.  I am dedicating time to youth sharing leadership skills, team building, motivation, and all these sorts of things that I have learned over 30 years of my career.

Ramila Nemkul

Entrepreneur and Fashion Designer

I feel that you are your own most powerful motivator. Your inspiration must come from within. Others may try to motivate you, but you are the only one who can achieve your goals. You must persuade yourself that you can! For me, goals are similar to road maps in that they guide you from one position to another. Goals provide the direction you need to get to your destination, motivation to keep you going, and a way to track your progress. The best way to achieve performance is to plan for the future while living in the present. My dream goal for 2023 is to take ‘The Everest Show’ globally. Likewise, I want to see my brand Kasa flourishing in the International Fashion Arena. And lastly, to pursue my Ph.D. in my favorite subject.

Chirag Bangdel

Visual Artist, Writer, Radio Presenter/Producer

I have always enjoyed the creativity and so far I have always spent most of my creative energy and time on my paintings and other forms of visual art. I also love writing and have published four collections of poetry and a collection of short stories apart from essays, articles, and columns for different magazines.  But again, I paint more than I write and I have always felt that I need to write more. So that would be my resolution this year- to write as much as I paint. I am also wondering if I should get my second book of short stories published. I have already completed the book many years ago and needs final editing.

The other love of my life is music and I play the guitar. So this year I hope to spend more time with music and my musician friends!

Mina Maharjan

Founder of Swostishree Gurukul

In 2019, I founded Swostishree with the vision of being one of the top educational institutes in Nepal. My goal in 2023 is to continue providing an excellent environment as well as opportunities for students at Swostishree. At Swostishree, we aspire to provide students with the best possible education so they can push themselves to the fullest and grow both academically and personally. In order to do so, one of my goals for 2023 is to authorize the MYP curriculum. Alongside pushing students to be smart global leaders, I want students to enjoy school and make memories that will last them a lifetime. In order to accomplish that, I plan to organize various events and trips for students that will be both enjoyable and academically beneficial. A part of my goal is to arrange a graduation for 10th and 12th graders that they will be able to cherish. Additionally, I aim to be a leader that can support and push my staff to put in their very best. I desire to create a supportive environment where teachers and staff can be passionate and content. With all my goals in mind, I hope Swostishree Gurukul can be a leading educational institute in Nepal.
