1. Soak the Lentils: Soak the lentils in water for at least 8 hours or overnight. Drain and rinse them thoroughly.

2. Fermentation: Place the soaked lentils in an airtight container and leave them at room temperature for 24-48 hours to undergo anaerobic respiration.
