Eating out doesn’t always have to be heavy and a cheat day. It can be healthier than normal days or a break from a heavy week. In this issue, we are glad to have revisited juice mandala and gain a new taste of the food as well as ambience.

The new experience with juice mandala absolutely amazed me. I personally never like green but visiting this place made me feel good about a drink with spinach in it.

Amazing? Try it once and visit it again.

The authentic taste of Nepali masala without any colouring or Food tasting is what makes Juice Mandala so special and trust me the food is great. Being an all veg and Vegan restaurant, it serves an amazing variety of dishes from Juice tea to Juice Puri. The theme of the restaurant was so peaceful that anyone can just sit there all day long. The food was so light that even after a heavy meal, my stomach was just full and not congested. Juice Mandala has always been promoting the taste without tasting all along and now they are trying to reach more dishes that aren’t really unhealthy if made with correct ingredients.

Juice Mandala has recently introduced a detox juice service. Detox basically aims to remove all the toxicity from the body and considering how good it tastes it obviously does a very soothing job. We tasted 3 types of Detox.

1.           Green Detox

The first one was Green Detox which was a mix of Spinach, Pineapple, Apple and Cucumber. The whole drink gave off a green and fresh taste. It had a refreshing taste and left the whole body with a chill and cold feel. The sweet taste of the apple and the sharp taste of pineapple was distinct. These basically made the drink taste amazing. The spinach could be tasted on the base but wasn’t too distinct and if I wasn’t told about the ingredients. I would most probably not know that the drink had spinach too. The cucumber gave the freshness in every sip of the drink and the mixture was everything you would want to be healthy.

2.           Celeb Celery

The second one was the Celeb Celery. This detox juice looked very similar to the green detox but taste wise it was completely different. It was a mixture of Celery, Apple and Lemon. Don’t assume the taste. Not yet!

The taste was quite amazing. More than I expected it to be. There was mild and intense flavour at the same time. It tasted raw but still good. With the taste of Celery was the added taste of apple which added freshness to the juice and the lemon gave a sweet and sour taste to the drink. I would always go back to this detox juice. Trust me.

3.           ABC

The last detox juice was named ABC. This drink was a little different from the other too. It was a mix of Apple, Beetroot, Carrot and Lemon which made it red in colour. It tasted like a fruity hit of energy. This drink is the true definition of how being healthy isn’t always boiled or tasteless.  It was a very decent drink which had a light sugary taste but it wasn’t too sweet. It also had a base taste of the beetroot and the tangy taste of the lemon obviously which made the juice 10 times better.

I would say each Detox had their own flavour and benefit but each had a different way of pleasing my taste. I, however, would recommend each of them. The juice made me feel lighter and who wouldn’t fall in love with something which is healthy and tastes good?

However, Juice Mandala isn’t all about the juice but good food and great mood too. We had a number of dishes newly set at Juice Mandala.

The dishes included

1. Mix veg Thukpa

2. Margherita Cheese Pizza

3. Juice Puri

4. Indreni Momo

5. Fruit Tea

6. Seitan curry with rice and roti

The juice puri had the puri and fillings of a normal Panipuri, it also had the normal flavoured water that comes along with Panipuri but what was unique in the juice puri was that it came along with a mango juice and watermelon juice to add a sweet taste. The fillings were heavy and were topped with pomegranate. It was my first time trying something like this and I wasn’t disappointed with this unusual combo.

Similarly, the Thukpa and Pizza were appetizing. There were no added flavours and each bite tasted like new.

The seitan curry with rice and roti was a new experience too. The curry had a strong taste of the spices and with the combination of rice and roti, it gave a perfect homely taste.

The Indreni Momo had 3 colors red, green and yellow in it. Juice mandala being completely focused on veg and vegan had the best veg momo I ever tried. The fillings were heavy and the dipping sauce had a really good taste.
