The experience of oriental food, affordable price, good hospitality and quality time with your dear ones is what Orient aims to provide.

Orient Cafe has a great touch of green decor with decent arts around the whole area. The outdoor sitting and rooftop sitting obviously catch our eyes but what attracts us is also a quiet place indoors with great food and a pleasing atmosphere. Even though the place focuses on Oriental Food, the menu is very diverse with a mix of Nepali food, Indian dishes, Italian Pizza and other popular dishes. The idea of Orient basically generated from an old popular restaurant Royal Saino partnering up for new cuisine and concept. They formed Orient together but the signature dish of Royal Saino which was Belly Mo Mo stayed and is still on the menu. The team is made of people from Hotel management backgrounds, Hospitality backgrounds and other expertise with years of experiences which makes the place more amazing.

Orient has focused on the floral decor for the restaurant and it generally indicates love, compassion, friendship and generosity which is what the place tries to deliver it’s customers. The decor is meant to also connect you with nature and bring peace to mind amidst all the chaos around us. The dish and the place were a great combo and we had a memorable experience there.

With reasonable prices, Orient has been serving good food too. The food experience was amazing for me as well. The drinks are equally good. Talking about the dishes, we had 5 dishes and 3 drinks.

1. Chicken and water chestnut - Rs. 525

This dish was almost transparent and was so beautifully decorated. When it arrived, the presentation was already appealing enough. The first bite was so good and I could taste the flavours of chicken in it. I took the second bite and it tasted equally amazing. You also get 3 different Asian Fusion Sauces and dipping in them was truly enhancing the taste of the food.

2. Honey Chilli Pork Chop- Rs. 625

This dish has such good looks. The texture was clearly visible and I couldn't wait enough to try it. The meat was so soft and tender, I could clearly taste the sweet and spice in it. It was very soft and juicy and I must say I could have that everytime I visited the Orient. The dish was, I must say, one of the best foods I had that day.

3. Avocado roll- Rs. 595

This roll had a mixture of so many tastes in it. There was sticky rice and veggies in it. The top roll of avocado tasted very distinct in it. The soy sauce dip with wasabi made it even tastier and we had to bring another serving because we craved for more of it. I still clearly remember how good it tasted.

4. Mexican hot pizza- Rs. 695

If you are someone who wants to try good pizzas from good restaurants, You must try Orient’s Mexican Hot Pizza. This pizza has a great topping, soft texture and heavy cheese. You get chicken, sweet corn, olives, cheese and many more on the top. The base was soft as well as crunchy. The pizza was big enough and quite filling too.

5. Chicken hot stone pot 750

With the name comes the speciality of the dish. This dish was famous for the stone pot it was served in which kept the food hot for an hour or so. Just a spoonful of the dish could make you realize how good the dish actually was. Every time you have the food, it tastes something different and the taste you missed last time will eventually be distinct in another bite.

The delicious toppings made it even more special.

What impressed me most was the options that came with the dishes. There were so many variations that it was hard to pick and choose. So, everytime you visit the place make sure you try different toppings and flavours because you surely will not regret it.
