During a discussion with the Front Office Manager, he shared with us the story of how the 110 rooms of the hotel were constructed using materials such as brick walls to create a unique and traditional experience for the guests. He emphasized that the hotel placed great importance on the presentation of the rooms, ensuring that each of the 110 rooms was meticulously designed with flawless perfection in every corner.

As you enter the room, you are welcomed by warm colors that evoke a sense of tranquility. The walls are adorned with beautiful murals depicting scenes from ancient Nepali folklore, showcasing the rich heritage of the country. The intricately Newari carved wooden furniture adds an authentic touch to the room, representing the skilled craftsmanship that Nepal is famous for. The bed, dressed in luxurious linens, beckons you to unwind and relax after a long day of exploring the vibrant city. Its comfortable mattress and plush pillows ensure a restful sleep, while the soft lighting creates an intimate atmosphere. The room is designed to provide utmost comfort, with every amenity carefully thought out. While the lighting truly feels immersive with the traditional aspect, especially during the evening or nighttime, as you look down towards the majestic garden. While the standout aspect of the room is definitely the view, it is accompanied by a wall cushion that lies adjacent to the window, where one can lie down with the breathtaking view and work, read a book, or meditate. 

The Heritage Deluxe Room boasts a spacious seating area, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea or engaging in a conversation with loved ones. The traditional Nepali artwork hanging on the walls serves as a backdrop for these memorable moments. The room also features a well-equipped work desk, should you need to catch up on some tasks during your stay. One point of the room was the majestic garden view of the Hotel Yak and Yeti, which was immersive and so breathtaking that it felt special not only to me but to everyone who had graced the room. 

One of the highlights of this room is the en-suite bathroom. It is a modern marvel that seamlessly integrates with the overall design of the room. The luxurious marble tiles, coupled with the sleek fixtures, create a spa-like experience. The rain shower, with its gentle cascade of water, washes away the weariness of the day, leaving you refreshed and rejuvenated.

Every aspect of the Heritage Deluxe Room has been carefully curated to showcase the best of Nepali culture. From the rugs to the intricate tapestries, every piece tells a story. The room exudes a sense of elegance and sophistication while maintaining its connection to the heritage it represents. A few aspects that stood out of the ordinary were the Newari Oil Lamp decoration called the “Dalucha” and the art pieces that have a historical connection to the hotel itself that were placed for the people to see and read in their free time. Talking about the little details of the room, it has a portrait of the grounds on which the hotel was built, along with a book of Nepal's history for the people to indulge themselves in. 

But it isn't just the aesthetics that make this room special. The Hotel Yak and Yeti takes pride in providing outstanding hospitality and personalized service. The staff is attentive, ensuring that every need is met with care and efficiency. Their deep knowledge of the local culture and customs adds an extra layer of authenticity to your stay. Facility-wise, the hotel provides access to the swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna to the guests, while some facilities require rental fees.
