Why I Love Music: Aabhiskar KC

1. How do you define yourself?

I would describe myself as a very passionate person. Once I do something that I really love, I do it wholeheartedly.  Among all the things I’m immensely passionate about, music is one of them. I can continuously listen and work on music for hours and I’ll still not be tired of it!  Apart from that, I feel that I'm a dreamer as well. Like any other person, I do have big dreams and aspirations. The one thing that I dream the most is performing on a big stage with lots of crowd in front of me. Just hoping that people relate to the music I make!

  2.  What does music mean to you?

For me, music has always been an integral part of me. Even as a 10 year old kid, I used to take up my father's radio and listen to the FM channels all day long and I also remember that we used to have one VCD and I used to take CD’s from my cousin brothers and used to play that on repeat; it used to be so much fun and I think music has carved myself into someone better!  It's impossible for me to imagine a day without being around music and I am glad I have decided to follow the path and make a living out of something that I respect and love--music undoubtedly defines me and encourages me to go on!

3. What are some of your works?

I have released only one of my original called Ma timro on YouTube. I just fully started my musical career since finishing my bachelor's in computer engineering. I also have done some covers for Miyani sessions, Radio Nagarik, Jyovan studios, and some cover I did while learning sound engineering on my channel. Currently, I am working on my new original which will be released soon! Also, I have some collaboration coming out with renowned musicians too. And there will be much more to come, so stay tuned!

4. Any tips for future singers and music artists?

One thing I would say for certain is to never give up on your music. Always be creative, bring up your own ideas, because everybody loves originality. Also, I would like to suggest them to learn music theory and not just rely on their talents!

5. Has music helped you in any way during this hard time and improved your wellbeing?

In these hard times music has been the most effective thing that kept me going with positive thoughts. Music has always been a best friend to me as I never feel lonely when I make music or listen to; it makes me feel so comfortable. I believe that music is a crucial part of everybody's life and for sure improves your well being!

Learning and experimenting something new every day and applying it on my music were the best feeling! I used to look up for the next day to try something new about sound engineering or make a new song out of scratch! I can really tell music does keep you positive, encouraged and excited in any difficult situations.
